I blogged recently about how I see WebAssembly as enabling innovation in publishing, and honestly I am amazed by how quickly/timely things developed with one of the examples I talked about.

TONE3000's fork of NAM for WASM recently got support for live instrument input, letting you play guitar or bass to test examples of models on their site! It's an exciting expansion of exactly the kind of innovation I talked about in my previous blog post.

Since their frontend for this is open-source, I was also able to integrate it into my TubesAndCode.Studio site. Not only is there a page where you can play guitar through a selection of NAM models (captures of my amp/board and various included in the open-source project) and IRs using an audio interface, but I also am now experimenting with the idea of playable articles that let you launch right into a selection of NAM models right in the browser.

I think there is an exciting future of "active content" for the music industry by embracing Wasm and the browser! I am having fun integrating what I can.
